Olympus Technical Services, Inc., a Montana-based, employee-owned environmental consulting and environmental field services firm specializing in hazardous waste site/environmental remediation, streambank reclamation, mine reclamation, superfund site cleanup, demolition, environmental engineering, and emergency spill response is seeking a Construction Project Manager. The position reports to the Field Services Division Manager and works closely with staff in all divisions in our Helena, Billings, and Boise locations. This position takes place in a high paced, high energy, and dynamic environment.
The construction manager is expected to be involved in projects from cradle to the grave. With the support of senior managers, they will be involved in bidding projects, obtaining permits, managing projects in the field and in the office, and preparing invoices. The right candidate will be an excellent creative problem solver and thrive on solving challenges; Olympus’ projects are interesting and challenging and no two are ever the same. They will also be willing to learn new tasks, be flexible with schedule, and be willing to work with other divisions within Olympus, including work on emergency response projects, when necessary.
The ideal candidate will possess the following:
- Experience managing superfund, mine waste, demolition and/or civil construction projects;
- Outstanding communication, organizational, and supervisory skills;
- Experience estimating/bidding construction projects;
- Track record of completing projects on time and within budget;
- Ability to achieve maximum efficiency on construction projects;
- Ability to travel to projects for extended periods of time;
- Knowledge of project plans and drawings;
- Ability to solve problems creatively;
- Establish and maintain customer relationships;
- Familiarity with construction contracts;
- Experience preparing and submitting project proposals;
- Coordination of subcontractors, vendors;
- Experience with construction surveying and staking;
- Experience invoicing and reconciling quantities.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Degree in construction management, civil engineering, or equivalent technical training/experience;
- Demolition and dirt-moving experience;
- Interest and ability to interact with clients and project teams;
- Strong safety record and QA/QC skills;
- Excellent computer skills, including proficiency with MS Office, GPS, construction estimating and scheduling software;
- Excellent technical writing and communication skills; and
- Willingness to travel as project requires.
- Must pass background check.
- Ability to pass random drug and alcohol tests.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced degree in related field;
- PE/PMP or other professional license or registration;
- Related industry licensure/training including:
- 40-hour HAZWOPER
- OSHA Training
Compensation and Schedule:
- Anticipated salary range: $60,000-$90,000 depending on experience
- Workdays are generally M-F 40(+) hours/week, however, due to the nature of our work, schedule varies and often includes afterhours and weekend work.

Olympus Technical Services, Inc., an employee-owned environmental services firm specializing in hazardous waste site remediation, mine reclamation, environmental engineering, and emergency spill response, is seeking a staff level environmental scientist/geologist/engineer in Billings or Helena, Montana with at least 1-2 years of experience. A degree is required and E.I.T./G.I.T. is preferred for engineers or geologists. Work tasks include logging soil borings, oversight of subcontractors, oversight of monitoring well and soil vapor point installations, groundwater, soil, and vapor sampling, Phase I Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs) and Phase II ESAs, oversight of soil excavation and remediation system installations, data tabulation, and technical report writing.
The ideal candidate will possess the following:
- BS in geology, biology, chemistry, engineering, environmental science, or a related discipline.

Duties:

Qualifications:
- CDL preferred,

The mechanic will be responsible for ongoing preventative maintenance and repairs on Olympus' growing fleet of large and small eqiupment.
Duties:
- Basic maintenance and repairs on heavy equipment and hydraulics (i.e. excavators, front-end loaders, dozers, etc.);
- Normal vehicle interval services on fleet trucks (oil, lube, filters, inspections);
- Ability to work on small engines;
- Ability to troubleshoot equipment issues;
- Ability and willingness to travel to job sites;
- Good organizational skills and ability to maintain a clean and safe workspace;
- Ability to develop, implement, and track a preventative maintenance program schedule.
Qualifications:
- Clean driving record and Class A CDL, or ability to obtain Class A CDL within 6 months of hire;
- Strong safety record and QA/QC stills;
- Excellent computer skills, including proficiency with MS Office;
- Excellent communication skills;
- Ability to lift 80 pounds.
